Game does not launch at all after update to 0.7.5

Issue description

After performing the 0.7.5 update the game does not launch AT ALL. No error messages are produced when launching from Steam, and no process appears in task manager. No logs are generated (that I can find - where are they?). Attempting to run the .exe directly produces error 0xc0000005 (and still no logs that I can see).

Attempted troubleshooting:

1. Steam verify (no fix).
2. Remove completely and reinstall (no fix).
3. Completely disabled (and later removed) ALL AV products, then retried 1&2 with no AV (no fix).
4. Used the beta function to roll back to 0.7.4 (resolves this issue completely).

Reproduction steps

1. Click play in Steam. Play button displays "Running" for a few seconds, then reverts back to "Play". No error messages or indications why it won't run.

Update the operating system, Windows 7 is no longer supported.

I have the same issue. Windows 10. 0-7-4 legacy works only, nothing else

0xc0000005 is an access violation error. It can be corrupted game files, faulty hardware, or issues in the OS. I think that during this period, we upgraded the Unity engine version. More info would be in Unity crash logs. Paths to all the relevant logs are stated in the bug report template.
