Error opening the save file and reading its metadata

Issue description

Won't load game. Says "Error opening the save file and reading its metadata". I noticed in the save file the ones that load do not have "tmp" after autosave. The error file is "25-06-22-35-autosave.tmp" only does this on autosaves

You should attach a save file.

Sounds like a hard drive issue. Tmp file being present can also mean that writting failed in the middle or it failed to finalize it.
