Storage units causing lag

Issue description

I notice the game gets very laggy when I am scrolling around my flat/solid square type storage units and gets worst as I get closer to end game of research, only made it as far as second upgrade for space station, before the lag was no longer making it fun. I havent tried the hopper style (gravel coal ect) ones yet to notice any lag.If I group the large storage units together, say in 2 rows of 10 side by side with a total of 15 to 20 of (2500 items to 5000). If I face anytime in that general direction of storage units; It makes the game very laggy, at first i thought it was my 150 so trucks racing filling in the ocean, but that wasnt it. Also as I scroll away from said storage units or shift the camera away from the storage units the games instantly stops laging and goes back to full throttle. Not sure if the items in storage unit eating up the memory or lowering the frame rate. Thanks and Im loving the game Btw.

Reproduction steps

As closer to mid/end game, start building storage units for all items for flat storage type items. (increase storage units amount until lags happens) i think it depends on your computer specs maybe. It could be cause of concentrated storage instead of having storage spread out maybe. Maybe use an editor program to increase amount of storage to see if lag happens quickly vs waiting for them to fill up and build stuff. More storage = more lag during mid to later end game. Not sure if this is helpful.
