Check Channel Mismatch: If your speakers are set to 5.1 surround but your headphones are stereo, the game may still be trying to send ambient sounds to "rear" speakers that don't exist in your headphones. Go to Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab. Right-click your active device > Configure Speakers. Ensure both are set to Stereo to see if the sound returns. Disable Exclusive Mode: This prevents one application from "locking" the audio driver, which often breaks switching. Go to Sound Settings > More Sound Settings (or mmsys.cpl in Run). Right-click your device > Properties > Advanced. Uncheck "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device".

Good call, speakers are 5.1 & I did find exclusive mode on as well

On the current process instance I am not able to replicate the issue anymore, but will test with various conditionals such as the game being paused or not in focus when the device switch occurs.

If I can't replicate this at all anymore I'll assume this to be a external issue rather than a game issue (even though I never had this problem with other games) and come back to close this Issue
