After exiting the game, it remains running

Issue description

Hello! I haven't played previous versions of the game, so I can't say if this problem has occurred before. The problem is that I launch the game, play it, and then quit it, but Steam shows it as running, and I can't access it again until I restart Steam. Steam itself tries to close the application, but nothing happens. I couldn't find a process to force quit in the Task Manager.

Verify Integrity of Game Files: Right-click the game in your Library → Properties → Installed Files → Verify integrity of game files.
Clear Download Cache: Steam → Settings → Downloads → Clear Download Cache.
Delete the "appcache" folder: Close Steam, go to the installation folder (usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam), and delete or rename the appcache folder. Steam will recreate it upon restart, which can fix status display bugs.
Why does this happen?
Cloud Syncing: Steam waits for game data to upload to the cloud; if the connection is unstable, the "Running" status stays active.
Background Utilities: Some games launch third-party launchers or anti-cheats (like Easy Anti-Cheat) that don't close properly with the game.
Overlay Issues: A glitch in the Steam in-game overlay can prevent a session from closing correctly.

Hello! Steam automatically updated the game to v0.8.4b today, and the issue is no longer present. After exiting the game, my save syncs to the cloud, and I can launch the game again. Thank you!
