Pretty Constant Crashing

Crash

Issue description

I have no mods installed at all. I do have the base game and the DLC.

I was running perfectly fine with maybe one or two occasional crashes for my first ~20-30 hours. I am currently at a point where I've just built my first 2-stage diesel distillation and just added the first level of guns and armor to my ship. I have a decent starter base but not exactly a thriving megabase. I have roughly 50 trucks and 10 excavators/tree harvesters.

At about the 30 hour mark, I began experiencing massive instability triggered by nothing in particular that I can determine If there is a specific trigger I have not located it yet. I will just be playing and suddenly the game crashes, leaving behind a crash log with no real useful information and no events in the system event viewer.

I've had memtest86 come back clean, I did a full DDU uninstall/reinstall of my graphics drivers, I'm not really sure what's causing this but it does not seem to be any sort of known issue. I tried my best to parse the crash logs as they've happened but those don't really come back with anything super specific.

Intel i9 13900k
3090 ti
32gb RAM
ASRock PG Riptide Z790

At no point has the game seemed to be chugging along and drawing particularly high amounts of data from my hardware. I've yet to see indication of memory or GPU bottlenecks or that hardware having a stroke.

Reproduction steps

I don't have any specific steps, as this just happens at random while playing and I cannot even determine a discrete event that may be causing it. It will happen during gameplay at any speed, and can also happen at random while idling in the pause menu.

Game version and build number

v0.8.5 b598

I have previously followed the intel default settings/bios update path to fix similar issues in a different game. Those issues are still resolved and have not reoccurred so I have a hard time imagining that being the culprit.

You did it too late, the crystal has already degraded physically.

I'd appreciate it if we didn't simply jump to blaming the customer's hardware. I just ran a cinebench test and it came back perfectly in line for what should be expected of this CPU. No testable, reproducible signs of degradation.
