Question: Why do I get an error when setting up the transport of raw materials from a hopper? Scenario: I am configuring the transfer of raw materials from one hopper to another; when I set the transfer amount in the second hopper to exceed a certain limit, the game throws an error stating that the route is configured incorrectly.

You configured the import and at the same time instructed it to empty the storage. Slide the slider with the red truck all the way to the right.
In reality, consolidating raw materials in one location and subsequently hauling them away is standard practice. Why does this cause an error in your game?
This can be done using 2 storages connected to each other - you import into the first one and export from the second one. To prevent the second or first storage from filling up completely, use the yellow & blue sliders.
A storage cannot receive deliveries on a route while it is also set to be emptied, which is why the route is flagged. Two connected storages, importing into the first and exporting from the second, do this instead.
