Truck - Instant remove cargo

Instant remove cargo does unload the cargo for 0.1 unity. Ok.

It does not stop the truck from going back to the MCT. Expected: Truck stops immediately until it gets new job. It's annoying to redirect them manually to avoid longer useless trips between excavator and MCT.

It does not clear the notification "Pickup has no compatible sorting plant for mixed cargo", until truck gets new job. Expected: Immediately clear that notification (to see if there is still other trucks needing attention) . The other notification, "MCT: No available place to dump products" does get cleared as expected.

In your save your tower can't dump Dirt, but the truck has both Dirt and Rock
It either Dumps everything, or drops it to an Ore Sorting Plant.

You can enable Dirt Dumping, and it'll function,
or build an Ore Sorter that can handle Dirt and Rock to filter out the Rock to be dumped.

Yes, I intentionally did not do those. I wanted to use unity to empty the truck.

And each time you use unity, the resources go to the Shipyard, and then another truck gets filled up and has the same problem.

or possibly just voided, I can't remember the specific implimentation, but certain resources when 'emptied' may be just disappeared from existence

The material gets teleported to the shipyard. Fully intended in this example. I opened this issue for the truck behavior after and the notification.

May be some mis-understanding here,

After clearing the truck, it's available for another job, and goes to get more product from the Excavator.
What behaviour are you expecting?

RealisticOptimist · 2 years ago

The example is not ideal, the distance between MCT and excvator could be longer. I think good enough though (just verified it).

If you empty the truck after loading the game, before you unpause, then unpause, you see the empty truck goes back to the MTC, only to go back to the excavator after. But it should line up for the next job already, without that useless round trip.

I think I understand,

The truck doesn't terminate it's current job if it no longer contains the product to drop off,
rather it finishes its current job (Try to empty, which is now nothing) then jumps to the next job.

Expected:
Product Removal via Unity should re-check Job status and terminate if not doable due to no product

Actual:
Truck will still try to complete job by arriving at Control Tower to 'empty' nothing

Yes, almost correct. Truck's job was not to try to dump at MCT, but to go to MCT and wait for further action (new dumping site, ore sorter available, some manual action) to get a new job. Developers could have just let truck stand around at the excavator "dunno what to do", but "going home" sounds reasonable too. Yes, the product removal should terminate the "go to MCT and wait for further instructions" job.

I also purposefully make it impossible for the trucks to dump cargo and use unity removal of cargo all the time in earlygame. it'd be nice if the truck (after getting its cargo removed) would go right back to the excavator instead of carrying on to the MCT.
it's prolly a 1-liner fix too: reset truck's state machine after unity removal.

hmmm, just noticed the icon says "Fixed" but I know for sure it's still happening with the latest version :/
