Is this deliberate as a balancing act to increase worker requirements for Food Packs? Or something that was simply neglected when the Robotic Assemblers were added to the game?
Why are Robotic Assemblers missing the recipes for Food Packs?

There are several recipes that require regular assemblers only.
There are also a number of recipes that the Robotic Assembler IIs can’t do that the RA Is can. I suspect it is for balance reasons.
I expected Robotic Assemblers to be able to do new recipes because it’s a higher tier of Assembler and that is consistent with how previous upgrades work too, but I didn’t expect the reverse.
I guess they wanted to inflate the worker cost of food packs, maybe for balance reasons since Food Packs can be considered quite strong.
It can catch you out if you aren’t paying attention, that is for sure.
