Hi, on the current experimental version 0.7.1a (b413), you can create a larger rectangular area for a Mine Control Tower than you can expand a current one. I assume this is not intended, though having bigger areas is something I like.
Attempting to resize the larger area instantly snaps the poing you selected to the max distance you can expand from the opposing point.
it would be nice if the fix for this allowed larger free form areas instead of reducing the rectangle area, even if there is a limit on it this sort of shows it works fine with larger areas
Or maybe there could be a mining tower t2 supporting infinite areas? It's a kind of useful thing to have especially for dumping, and it would suck to have the feature removed entirely
An exclusion zone could also be useful, like a mine control tower that controls everything EXCEPT what is in other tower's zones. That would make dumping really easy.
I like that idea, either that or zone corners could snap to the corners of other zones

🤔 I haven't found a need for that just yet,
but maybe one can emulate this
by having the global dumping settings set to anything &
have a mine conterol tower set to disallow dumping.
Maybe that just works?

yes, it seems the new Rect tool doesn't have a size limit for how big you can make the zone, while the polygon edit tool does. hope devs do best of both worlds and increase max size of the zone if they fix this bug
Also, tihs is a duplicate of: Since Patch 0.7.1a mining tower rectangular has no space limitations by about 3-4 hours.
