Microchips Production - Gold Ratios

Unsure if deliberate, but the gold requirements aren't consistent between stages 1c, 2c, 3c and Final for T2 fabricator.

For T1 Fabricator, all recipes use 1 Gold for 3 wafers (2 and 6 per 60s respectively).

For T2 Fabricator, in contrast for 1c and 2c the recipes use 1 gold for 6 wafers (3 and 18 per 60s respectively), but for 3c and final it's 2 gold for 6 wafers (6 and 18 respectively).

The latter appears to make more sense as a direct scale up of the initial recipes, so looks like the ratios for 1c and 2c are off.

i also realised this and it threw off my production relying on strict input ratios, it definitely does look like its a bug.

this is pretty annoying as using strict input with sushi belts and priority inputs will always get clogged up with gold bcs its not being consumed

i really want to say just do this..

but it would probably be better with 3 levels of belts and use lifts to get them all to input level as needed

Yeah, I'm confused. Would love an actual explanation as to why this is intended. Not saying its wrong, just an explanation could help us inderstand the devs' thought process on this.

Yeah, that seems strange, would like to know the rationale behind making just two of the steps more efficient out of all 16 🤔

It sort of makes sense when you add up the gold cost and it adds up to 18. Exactly 2 gold furnace worth. However, now that gold has another use in luxury goods, you'll need more than 2 furnaces anyways.

Running 2 gold furnaces is a pretty nice ratio for all buildings involved.

Having to run a 3rd wouldn't be as nice, and 4 would be overkill, (but less now that there are luxury goods)

If that turns out to be the explanation, then it's a bit tenuous....

I guess you could run a third furnace just on scrap, and it wouldn't be a big deal as it wouldn't produce exhaust or consume sand, but since luxury goods do NOT give gold scrap, I don't know if it'll be enough.

If they wanted the numbers to match up evenly then just making the settling tank give 12 gold concentrate and make the T2 recipes cost 6 gold each would have been neater.

And the recipe for luxury goods could have been amended or the demand for such accordingly.
