Game fades to (almost) black before main menu on load

One of the recent updates introduced a dark grey screen when loading the game just before showing the main menu.

I think this is new to U3 in general &
not because of an update after it,
but I migh be missremembering things.

It could also be tied to the Unity Engine update,

This is unity upgrade regression, we are working on the fix
