Diesel contract for gold deliveries failed, subsequent deliveries resulted in the boat returning without gold (see photo).
I did the following:
Recovered and redeemed the contract.
Rebuilt the dock from the menu (so no copy errors from the previous version).
I examined gold.
Built the dock and added the contract assignment.
Executed the contract with transport.

By "Recovered and redeemed the contract" do you mean unlock it by visiting the village?
What do you mean by "I examined gold"? I'm not sure what action you are referring to.
And finally by "Executed the contract with transport" do you mean just fill up the cargo modules until full and then the boat automatically departed?
Would you be able to share a save where this issue is happening?
Also, you tagged this post as "Crash", does the game crash completely when this issue happens??
I found the village with the contact and just got it to level 2, which unlocked the trading conditions.
I unlocked gold in the tech tree.
