Cut tool and delete tool no longer drags across

SO previously When I wanted to cut a large section of BPs out, or get rid of a BP, I could select the tool I wanted and drag it across whatever I was trying to delete or cut, now that is no longer possible.

Can you elaborate? This should be still possible

so it started working yesterday, but if I put a bp down and I want to cut several sections of the bp out, and you select the cut tool x key or delete tool, and tried dragging it across a small section of the bp to cut or delete that section, it wouldn't do anything. I had to cut or delete individual piece of the bp. same with the unity tool as well, but as I said it started working again the next day.

I assume it's the longterm issue where drag won't start if you are hovering an entity
