Something is bugged, and I cannot clear the tutorial mission object 'designate slag dump site'.
For easier planning, before the mission is given, I already had a slag dump site in a dedicated mine control tower zone.
Similar bug also happened with 'designate waste dump site' object in similar circumstances, but in that mission, making a dump site outside the mine control tower zone resolved the issue.

Can confirm, that Steam user above is correct. Just enabling Slag at your first born tower, un-pause then pause again and the objective clears right out. You can then clear Slag from that tower if you so choose and continue to dump it wherever you like.
Also, at the moment, the reward is 80 diesel and 60 Vehicle parts 1
So if I destroyed the first mining tower I built, I can't finish this quest at all?
