I have two alerts (screenshot 1): MCT has no mining designations ("alert 1"), and Fuel station out of fuel ("alert 2"). I clicked on the second alert to zoom to the fuel station, and nothing happened. It's because I clicked on the upper half of the alert line. The window displays the following inconsistent behaviors, which cause this and other issues:
- Mouse down event on Alert 1 doesn't cause any layout changes (expected).
- Mouse down event on Alert 2 causes a scroll bar to appear in the Alerts window (screenshot 2), reducing the width and causing the Alert 1 text to wrap to two lines (inconsistent, unexpected, problematic).
Due to this, there's a region of the alert window where the mouse is over Alert 2 before clicking, and over Alert 1 after mouse down. This causes:
- An attempt to single click on Alert 2 in this region causes nothing to happen (same as clicking on Alert 2, dragging to Alert 1, and releasing), when the expectation is that the camera zooms to the subject of Alert 2. And...
- Holding the mouse button and dragging in this region causes the UI to flicker between the two window states.
