Exploit: Retrieving stuff for free by building/demolishing connectors

Goods can be retrieved to the closest storage/shipyard for free, by repeatedly demolishing/building connectors. This can e.g. be used systematically to teleport goods from remote or even inaccessible locations back to base.

It's not a massive exploit, but consider the depicted YSNP scenario: The inaccessible top plateau contains plenty of space for farms, which can be built with a little unity. Potatoes, vegetables, and tree saplings grow fairly well without irrigation. Consequently, it's possible to use the top plateaus for all the food and saplings, and simply teleport it for free when required. Not fun, but effective. And because space is scarce, the space that the farms would take in the base can now be used for other things.

To counter the exploit, connectors would have to be emptied before they can be demolished. That way, at least there would be a significant unity cost to teleport the food down the hillside.

There will always be people who cheat themselves, seemingly unaware of it. How is that supposed to work if you want to demolish a huge facility? More reports: Truck can't reach the destination? Or am I supposed to demolish building after building, belt after belt, pipe after pipe, and wait? If you're playing this map, you want a challenge, otherwise you might as well just play a flat map. 🙂

Depending on your play settings, You wont get everything back from that building to rebuild it, I.e. Cost 30 to make, you only get 18 back

Connectors, not balancers. Connectors don’t cost much - at most the cost of one belt or pipe segment.

Connectors cost nothing to build, and no trucks are involved in its construction or demolishing.
