ISSUE WITH TIME

Playing normally, and for no reason the time switched to 12x, even not on sandbox. Just switched. I re-loaded the world and it disappeared. Weird.

Did you press any of the buttons you see in your keybindings? (specifically "Set game speed to 4x)

Does 4x or more speed exist in non-sandbox? I just clicked something I guess, and the time changer showed the 12x icon on.

Game is developed/optimized for 1-3X speed. Faster is available for those who really want it and are willing to put up with choppier graphics, but you need to go through the console to get it.

i am not on an experimental branch nor did i ever open the console, yet i was able to reach speed 4 (12x) by just hitting "+" often enough.
what i am courious, is it save to use that speed if my pc can handle it? in workers ressources soviet republic there are "hidden" speed posibilitiys which will can break the simulation which i would strongly like to avoid

My understanding is that it is safe, just that the visual experience might be less than desirable.

Surprisingly, my CPU runs at least 2 degrees cooler at this fantastic speed; okay, but it's almost impossible to watch anymore ^^

+ should only work within the range of available speeds, it will be fixed in the next patch, thanks for the report.
(player will still be able to explicitly opt-in into higher speeds)

Maybe let's make it so if one were to opt-in into those higher speeds,
the + keybind should also allow to use those higher speeds 🤔.
