First section of vertical pipe rotates after being confirmed

If you have R mode enabled, place a pipe next to an input or an output (do not click on the port itself but the tile it goes into), make the pipe go straight up and forwards, then click to confirm that. The pipe appears to connect to the input or output, as expected. I also expect all the pipe before the click to now never change, unless I undo the click with right click.
However if you then move the mouse around to create more pipe, the very first section (at the bottom of the vertical) will now rotate, even though it was previously 'confirmed' by a click.

Iirc, there is a similar issue with belts, 90° start and then a slope and it disconnects. 🤔

Can you explain this one a bit more?

  1. Select belt from toolbar. This is important, do not start by just clicking on or in front of the port.
  2. start belt in front of port.
  3. drag 2 to the right. Stays connected. 👍
  4. elevate by one, disconnects. 👎
if you keep dragging, in some directions it connects (when going up or down), left and right it disconnects.

b588: My 90° belt slope disconnect seems fixed. Did not check the OP's pipe finding.
