Train Depot doesnt work as train storage anymore

So im using a depot to store just the train heads as vehicles so i can reconfigure them in the train depot next to it but since the last updates i cant get them out anymore with no wagons attached since every schedule i assign says no valid goal since the train does not have a wagon attached

i cant even make it drive to the other depot since it has no line it can drive on

Cars and locomotive are stored in the depot when you "demolish" the train, you don't need to store the train that way.

but i want to since it keeps the fuel level and i dont have to wait for fuel to be delivered every time i want to build a train

Isn't the fuel also stored?

every time i build a train from the stored train cars it needs fuel again to build it

and with the method of just storing the head in a service lane i can quick deploy a train if i have the cars

fuel is ejected if you dismantle a train is what i meant to say and demonstrate

Remaining fuel is returned to the depot, if that is not enough (like in the images above), the depots has ports to feed and buffer extra fuel.

stored items get automatically removed by trucks iirc

but thats not the point here since i want to store the train head in a service lane but cant get it out of the depot without at least 1 wagon
