The web API returns product ids and names, but recipes, machines and buildings can only be learned by guessing ids or inferring them from other responses. For example, the icons route returns 404 for machines and buildings, so only product icons work.
Suggestion: a read-only GET /api/v1/protos route, filterable by kind, that lists buildings, machines, recipes (inputs, outputs, duration, and which machine runs them), vehicles and research nodes, each with id, name and icon.
Why:
- External tools need it to label the entities from a future entities route (see my related suggestion: https://coigame.com/Topic/21211).
- Recipe and ratio calculators that match the installed game version and mods need real recipe data instead of hand-maintained tables.
- Dashboards need machine and building icons, and today only product icons are available.
