Discussion of the blueprint 👷‍Kayser's Construction Parts.

This is great.

  • A sushi belt consisting only of lifts. So the speed is kinda unlimited? Or at least limited to the speed of the fastest belt.
  • A nice filtering out the done parts and injecting in the other components after mixing them up.

This should be higher in upvotes/downloads.

Very nice. PS. also i changed the CP1 recepie to use steel and all is fine.

Thank you for this kind comment. After testing, it looks like the lift speed is about 1,030. Good to hear that it works with steel also. I have an idea for next version how to increase max capacity.

Absolutely awesome. Sometimes I get lost just sitting and watching this thing work. Absolutely amazing. I did change the input and recipes from iron to steel. Works fine. Thanks for the blueprint. All of them are good, but this one is amazing

@je54535 Thank you for taking time to give this kind comment. I will probably make a steel (or hybrid) version in the future as it seems the more popular option.

빨간색 부품으로 넘어갈때 따로 만들지 않아서 건설부터 먼저하면 진해이 되지 않아요 그래서 전단계가 필요할꺼 같아요

Hybrid version (Mk2) which can take steel or iron for CP1 is now available. It also has upgraded capacity to inject 2,060 (2x1,030) ingredients.

Given that steel is generally better in all respects, would there be any advantage to a version that only takes steel? I would imagine it would at least save on the need for the steel-iron balancer and the attendant belts. The same comment goes for the VP + Maint. build as well. To me at least, there's no sense in maintaining iron infrastructure once you can reliably produce steel so I'd rather not keep the vestigial bits around. Especially if it could lead to some cleaner and more comprehensible routing.

Hello

I have a question: if I wanted to produce more Construction Parts Red, would it be possible to configure the recipe for only Construction Parts Red? Or how I prioritize recipes for production more, Construction Parts Red?

@Warmachine: Steel is not better in every regard. For example, it takes more iron ore per construction part, and the steel plant will require more population, and cause more exhaust than a corresponding iron plant. I don't plan to make an iron-less version in the near future, but feel free to make and publish one yourself.

@DWAM: The plant will focus on what you consume. If you only consume CP3 (red), the plant will focus on making those. If you don't want to sink resources into CP1 and CP2, you can lower the yellow slider in the CP1 and CP2 output storages. This way, less CP1 and CP2 will be buffered. Note, however, that CP3 production requires CP2 and CP2 requires CP1, so the plant will need to produce CP2 as well as CP1 to make CP3.
