disappointed on how the resources are placed on this map there haphazardly thrown all over the place and the potential growth from the starting location of a player's base is inconvenient and not well thought out

Thanks for the feedback. I am disappointed that you are not accepting this challenge. Maybe try a simpler beginner map to start with. This map is more for players who want to enjoy varied terrain and not just play on a flat board. It's the first version and I don't rule out some modifications.
