Laziness plague has infected my entire island and made my pickups lazy...

The title may be exaggerated, but the issue is real.

The pickups seem to become lazy after I leave my game unattended for a bit. They won't take on transport jobs, whether requests or disposal. I can force them by increasing the priority of requests to 1, but they become lazy again after doing one job. Recovering them back to the depot has the same effect - do one job, then become lazy again. Restarting the game fixes the issue temporarily, but the same thing happens again if I leave the game unattended for a bit. Pickups and trucks assigned to a building or mining seem to not be affected. Doing things like building planning, fiddling with buildings, etc. seem to keep them from becoming lazy (after a game restart or start of the game).

I've read the logs of the game and haven't seen any kind of errors related to jobs. I found 2 or 3 errors related to simulation, but is not relevant to the job issue.

I don't know at what point in the game progress this issue started happening, but I noticed that I keep on ordering pickups because vehicle management keeps on saying that the vehicles are extremely busy.

I have no idea why this happens. I properly noticed this issue the other day when I was just letting the game simulate to recover spent materials. After a day of testing, I decided to report this as a bug.

Please, anyone, let me know if this is fixable.

This is awkward, but I may have found and solved the issue myself. After posting this "bug", I've been retweaking things in my game that may affect the behaviour of the pickups. Then, I checked a mining tower that I've built to force the pickups to dump a specific material(rocks) in a specific area. And there I see that I've set the dumping priority from "Passive" to 7.
image.pngAfter setting it back to "Passive", the clump of lazy pickups started to disperse and find jobs. After observing for a while without doing anything, they have completely gotten rid of their "laziness". Though they may have been cured, a side effect has been left on my island: some buildings with active import and export requests have become "stale," so I have to reconfigure them so that the pickups can take on their requests again.

I will have to observe a bit more to make sure that the laziness disease does not recur. I will close this topic once I'm sure that the issue is surely resolved.
