Pipe segments as bidirectional reservoirs

Suggest to treat pipe segments as pressurized reservoirs (with max capacity depending on segment length). The more contents, the lower the input flow, the higher the output. And vice-versa. This way pipes will behave more naturally and have less restrictions allowing more flexible placement design.

Indeed it would be nice to have bi-directional pipes for the water supply system.
