The game has everything you would want and it will for sure be fun to play but if you ever want to reach a wide audience you simply need to have a little bit of lore around the world and/or a player character so that people can immerse themselves inside the world.
Instead of just being a camera in the sky, look at your competition like dyson sphere program and how well it helps immersion when you have a player character inside this factory world you created and how the items and buildings from that world can influence and work with the player (fuel, ammo, upgrades, flight), increasing immersion greatly while not diminishing anything else.
It shouldnt be too hard to implement but worst case scenario look at something like rimworld and how it handles basic lore about the world and your factory beginnings in order to tie you and make you care about your world and map right away.
You can have systems as deep as the ocean, but if people's feet don't ever touch the water, it won't matter.

I like it how it is. I personally don't give a monkey about lore! But that is just my opinion others may differ.
