You can unlock large vehicles quick a bit sooner than getting glass making since that requires the next level of lab research to unlock. Either large vehicles shouldn't require glass to make or the tech should be reorganised so that you get glass first so that you can actually make the vehicles when you unlock them.

you can make them before you unlock the glass tech. You just have trade construction parts 3 for glass.
I was very confused by that as well.
I was very happy to unlock "large vehicles", only to find out i have to wait a long time longer to build them. .... That was disapointing.
Espacally because glas is in "Research III" while large vehicles are in "Research II" .
The tech tree should defenetly be formed that way, that everything you research you could build.
