Make sure pipe direction is always visible

On certain short lengths of pipe, the pipe direction arrow is underneath the window into the pipe contents, so you can't tell whether it's in the wrong direction.
The white direction arrow is also very hard to see against the light grey pipe - suggest changing it for something with more contrast.

it would also be nice to have a better visibility of the pipe direction when in planning mode.
