Auto-Pause on Alert/Emergency

I would like a toggle option that let's me AFK until some alert appears. Sometimes I alt-tab while waiting for some long term projects or I want to leave my computer running while I go do something else such as chores. It would be nice to be able to safely leave the game running and have it auto-pause if something that needs my attention happens.
Ideally, this would not pause for alerts that have been stuck on my screen for hours (building may collapse due to uneven terrain).

This idea recently got discussed on the COI discord, and I agree that it would be useful to have. Not everyone has the ability to play games without interruptions, so an option to pause the game when certain critical alerts appear would be great for people who need to balance work and play.
This system would be for alerts that, if not addressed, would lead to the factory shutting down on higher difficulties (like fuel or maintenance part shortages).
