can we have "just" have an universal pause?

a pause that combines the planning pause with building pause. many times i clicked the building pause assuming that unpauses the planning pause. thanks

I'm confused, the "building pause" control does unpause "planning pause" for me. The planning pause is just a toggle that forces each placed building to be paused (in construction) by default. Using the building pause tool will either toggle the pause status of buildings or toggle the pause status of constructing a building.

Personally I wouldn't want to see this.
I set things to build with production paused so I can turn my attention to something else, and not have to worry about a sudden drain on workers/power when building finishes. I can then get back to it later when it's built and I can turn it on when I've got the power and workers to support it.
