You can also recycle plastic, in the settlements it could based on medical supplies and fries bags.
Maybe you could create a Melter or/and Extruder to turn back the plastic parts into usable plastic.

I also really love the idea of more waste management options :D

I would honestly add an improved recipe for household goods using plastic. IRL plastic has been a really big boon for light industry and consumer use.
This would at least show where the plastic is coming from because right now it's just mostly from electronics and snacks

Given how much stuff goes into the settlement that requires electronics 2 and 3 which all contain plastic. Yeah that seems like not a bad plan to me. It should be included in the maintenances and laboratory equipment as well beyond certain points because those also contain electronics two and three.

Well. I think the plastics in this game are PVCs which contain chlorines and are prohibited to be recycled.

Hoping to see this, maybe with more processing steps involved...
