I missed an alarm that popped up last night because I was shifting Storages around and got a whole string of 'truck can't reach destination' alarms. Tucked neatly in the middle was an alarm that a critical coal bunker had run out and less than a minute later my entire power grid was down...which led to a lack of water and Maintenance...which led to citizens dying...which led to a severe labor shortage. You know the rest and thank goodness for autosaves.
I'd like to be able to colorize the Alarms as we create them. On YOUR build, such and such Storage running out of Iron might not be a big deal but on MY build it could lead to a death spiral. If we could colorize Alarms as they're created, then we could not only highlight the one most important to us but we could also group them (because THAT entire section of the island is optional for now so I'm going to put all the alarms in green so I know when they go off but they don't make me freak out).
Colorable Alarms
I would see that as a very useful (and potentially not that complicated) feature. Being able to priotize alarms from different subsystems of your factory could make you aware quicker of critical situations even in "busy" factories with a lot of earth work going on, truck paths temporarily blocked and such. Most of the time, especially in redesign / refactoring phases my lefthand side is cluttered with messages about uneven terrain, vehicles not finding paths or trucks lacking fuel and different alarms of supply stores that are important for the whole build to keep running (because I forgot to assign a new ore patch to excavate for example.
And then that one critical alarm about the nuclear reactor's water tank running low slips my attention and BOOM... I hope this will be considered as a useful QOL feature even if there are just a few upvotes here.
