Conveyor Dumping/Hoppers

I have noticed that even with large storage of loose materials, mainly slag in my case, that with large factories/operations, the feeder lines congest and production stops. So my idea was how easy it would be to have a conveyor that can go fairly high, mainly to dump off a cliff possibly, that would allow for excess to be stock piled for later use. and even a hopper that you could choose what can be dumped in. Mainly using this conveyor idea as a "waste"/"over flow" to keep production moving.
