Since everything else has such a complicated manufacturing process i feel that trees harvested should have a sawmill or processing plant of sorts in between to make planks out of logs to me more realistic.
Sawmills
And i forgot to add: Sawmill produces sawdust which can be turned in to briquettes and burned in a boiler maybe?
or, wood —> sawmill = lumber as main product and woodchips as byproduct.
maybe the large tree harvester could instead act as a truck by it self it would maybe 10 trees and dump them at the sawmill to be processed and maybe they would be assigned to a sawmill so you could have multiple
or have a different truck that can haul trees and the harvester would be assigned to a tree outpost thing (i forget what they are called) and the tree truck would automatically go to any available sawmills
I agree. Then we can have a small remote factory together with our treefarms.
Wood -> Timber -> Construction parts/household goods
And have the coal and woodchips as it is.
Was thinking of this the other day... Early tier recipes that need wood would produce sawdust as byproduct and be less efficient (and you would have to get rid of sawdust). Later tier, more efficient, sawdust is produced only at sawmill, sawn lumber more efficient for transport (less truck/train space to move product with greater yield once processed)
