Bulk cargo transport hubs

Think existing cargo ship docks with their cargo modules allowing the concurrent bulk transport of multi different item types.
Instead of applied to ships, apply to land transport. Load cargo, is gets packed into a shipping contain, loaded on trucks. At receiving end hub(s) the container is unpacked and contains made available via conveyors.
This is basically an adaptation of the existing mechanics and UI used for shipping, but applied to longer distance land routes. It would be intended for interconnecting your different industrial zones that may be scatters around an island and perhaps impractical to connect via belts and very inefficient for assigned routes and even general existing trucks.
Existing trucks can still be used as basically it ends up just as shipping containers, but each contains mixed cargo like a ship. Cargo docks currently allow up to 8 pods, I suggest 12 or even 16 is better for interconnecting your industrial zones.
