Smaller scale step options for mining designations

It would be good to see an option for smaller selections with the mining designation tool to allow for mining right up against retaining walls or more precise clearing of spaces instead of just having one large square option. I personally would like to be able to get all the ore possible out of my deep mine instead of leaving large untouched piles along the walls because the wall was placed just inside the square.
