When you use all 4 slots for different plants, there may be a problem with output. As an example, on a farm, there are 2 different products that go to the conveyor, and if 1 of the products is overfilled, the second product will not come out either. You can put a filter at the exit of the farm, but that won't help. Picture 1 is an example. I see 2 options how to fix it. Option 1 is to change the outputs of the farm to 4 universal ones, which will change depending on the connected conveyor. Option 2 to change the filter so that it does not store objects in itself, but only teleports to one of the exits. Then it will work correctly when connected to storage with different items like farm or connector.
Change output of farm or change input of filter
That's not a game issue, that's a player mistake. You need to design your factory with the ability to dispose the excess. for example, turn it into animal feed and burn it off.
Same issue here. I use the crop rotation. When I can I always use 1 Flat and 1 U-shape product in the same Farm so I can avoid this full output issue. But definetly less Unit shape product is needed so when I want some farm with 2 U-shape products, when one is full then its blocking the second one.
For example:
1 farm: Wheat + Corn
I know instead of that 1 farm I can make 2 farms:
Farm1: Whear - green manure
Farm2: Corn - green manure
It is just not feel right. Around the endgame I have ~ 32 or more farm. So it would be helpfull if I dont have to build 2x more farm just because this output issue.
Possible solutions:
- more output connection, configurable as with the new ore shorting plant (Large)
- solid organic fertilizer as a new product maybe? to transform the surplus crop. Maybe with an U-shape input in the Farms where we can use it. (it is just not realistic to burn the surplus crops and I do not need that much animal food either)
