Physical Trade Ship

Physical Trade Ship replaces the instant delivery of quick-trade purchases with a visible merchant ship that physically sails to your Trading Dock.

Quick trades are paid and reserved immediately, but the purchased cargo is delivered only after the merchant ship reaches the island, docks, and completes unloading.

How to use

1. Build and operate a Trading Dock.
2. Open the normal village quick-trade interface.
3. Select the trades you want to perform.
4. The required products or Unity are immediately paid and reserved.
5. Review the prepared order in the merchant-ship panel.
6. Press **Order** to add the delivery to the merchant queue.
7. Wait for the merchant ship to arrive at the Trading Dock.
8. The purchased cargo appears in the dock only after the ship docks and finishes unloading.

After unloading, the ship sounds its horn, leaves the dock, sails back to the edge of the map, and disappears.

Order queue and cooldown

Only one merchant voyage can be active at a time.

A new merchant ship can be dispatched after a cooldown of 60 game days, equal to two game months. Additional paid orders remain safely stored in the queue until another voyage becomes available.

Because the required payment is reserved when the trade is selected, queued orders will not later fail because the player used the required products elsewhere.

Trading Dock requirements

The merchant ship requires a valid and accessible Trading Dock docking area.

The ship is controlled automatically and cannot be selected or managed as part of the player's fleet. It does not use a normal cargo-ship slot and does not affect the player's maximum number of ships.

Compatibility and saves

Physical Trade Ship version 0.2.20 is verified for Captain of Industry 0.8.6.

The mod can be added to an existing save.

Active voyages, paid manifests, queued orders, reserved resources, and cooldown progress are saved. The temporary visual ship may be removed during saving and recreated after loading while its delivery state remains preserved.

Do not remove this mod from a save that has used its trading system. The mod is not marked as safely removable.
