Some Ideas for the near Future

Pladdenmixa · 1 month ago

First of all, thanks for the great idea and for getting the implementation started.

Perhaps the following ideas would be fairly easy to implement and could be included in a future update.

To start with, I think it might be worth considering having the recyclables and regular waste come out in a compacted form.

I took a look at the statistics for waste processing in Germany and think the breakdown could perhaps look like this:

15% Plastic

15% Biomass

30% Remains as regular waste

35% Recyclables

5% Sludge (possibly toxic)

That way, your mod would be even more meaningful and realistic.

This is a good ratio, having some plastic as an output is nice as alot is lost via waste, I would second your list but id also like to see woodchips as another product, as wood is used via glass rocking chairs.

Sorry for taking so long to read your message.

Thank you for the idea! For now, though, I’m not looking only at how waste processing works in Germany. I’m also looking at how it works in Ukraine, the US, and other countries. I’m trying to find a reasonable middle ground and build the system around that. I can see how waste is processed in Germany, but I think basing everything on just one country wouldn’t be quite right. Looking at three, four, five, or even eight different countries and finding some kind of average seems like a better approach to me.

As for the example you suggested — 15% / 15% / 30% / 35% / 5% — who knows? Maybe one day you’ll see something similar in the mod. But for now, I have a particular direction I want to follow.

I also have a lot of other ideas planned. As you may have seen from my latest messages, I’m currently dealing with some problems, so for now I’m writing all these ideas down in my notebook. Once I resolve the issue, I’ll continue working on them.

If you have any other ideas or interesting suggestions, I’ll always be happy to hear them!

Yes, all of that will be added, just a little later. At first, the resource recovery will be relatively simple, let’s call it that. Then later on, Wood Chips and other materials will be added as well.

Hey Guys,

I absolutly agree with you. Take your Time to get a good Mod, before we get a piece of shit ;)

Germany was just an example, because I'm a German Guy, you know.

Greetings to ya all !

That's cool, everyone has their homeland somewhere. German games are known for their technical level, sophistication and detailed graphics. I mean, especially simulators and tycoons.

Hi! I understand you. If you’d like, you could definitely help me with the German translation. I’ve already translated it myself, but I feel like some parts might not sound very natural in German.

So if you want to, I’d really appreciate your help with it.👍
