In combination with Settlement Anarchy, so not sure which mod you would release it with...
Start with buses between settlements and or home and work areas, then passenger trains. Maybe increase unity somehow with service and luxury type. (bus, taxi, limo etc)
I was thinking a few weeks back about how something like transportation could work. One idea was a boat ferry that vehicles could take to cross the water. That or some kind of human bus or passenger train that could store many humans and help them travel faster over long distance.
I'm not sure how it would become automated and itergrated into path finding. But it would be damn cool.
