Infinite research's infinite prerequisite is never completed

Every time I try to research Maintenance output 2, it queue's a level of vehicle limits. If I cancel the vehicle research, it cancels the maintenance research. This affects each of the infinite researches I've looked at.

I would understand if it was supposed to be "you can't research maintenance 3 until you've researched vehicle limits 3" but this isn't that. This is "if you want to research anything advanced such as rocket cap 1, you have have to do a level of vehicle research first, even if you've already got vehicle cap 3."

This seems unavoidable on my save file, but let me know if you need a .save upload.

There is a bug where you can't research them properly unless your queue is empty, is that what this is?

oh! it appears you are correct... clearing my research queue solves this problem!

This is a duplicate, i'm not sure the original though, and i dont think its a big deal

it's certainly not as a big a deal if there's an easy workaround like you mentioned... without that it would be a real pain

it is still a bug though and the solution is not obvious

do you have a link to the original? I'm not seeing it, and i'm not comfortable removing this report unless I can see that it's logged somewhere

Just found this post, im having the same issue, can also report that it works if you clear the research queue but its really confusing

it gets fixed in the next update
