I am having the same issue along with not being able to store it. I have a loose storage at the end to store it but it won't go in to the storage unit. The paver is acting as a dumper and thats all.

I have also noticed, Asphalt is not an acceptable product to store in the loose storage units. You can't select that product on the storage unit as well as the U-belt will not dump into an unassigned storage unit.
Ok, I just spotted your "Incoming patch" Notice. Thanks. 👍

Thanks for the reports and screenshots. I found why Asphalt was missing from loose storage: the mod’s product settings were blocking it from being stored, which also prevented U-belts from feeding it into an unassigned storage.
I’ve prepared a v0.12.12 public-test update that fixes this. Asphalt is now supported by loose storage I–IV, including selection from the product list and automatic assignment when it arrives by U-belt.
The paving setup is:
• Find the MZ Asphalt Plant under production or through the build-menu search.
• Find the MZ Asphalt Paving Crew under Build → Storage.
• Assign a loose-material hauler and an MZ Asphalt Paver to the same crew.
• The hauler brings Asphalt from the plant or ordinary loose storage to the crew.
• The paver collects Asphalt from its crew and handles Asphalt Road designations.
The crew itself does not have conveyor connections. When supplying it from ordinary storage, make sure truck export is enabled and the storage settings allow material to leave.
For asphalt removal, leave some free capacity in the crew so the paver can return the reclaimed material.
This update also includes the earlier crew-menu and assignment fixes, asphalt-removal repair, and single-truck mining dispatch fix.
The automated checks pass on Captain of Industry 0.8.7. The package is prepared but has not been uploaded yet, and the complete paving and save/reload workflow still needs in-game testing.
