Boss, something went wrong — the English version seems to be in a different encoding...

It's strange. I checked it in several editors, and in the mod it's UTF-8. Moreover, your file looks like Chinese (or something similar). With a different encoding, you would see completely unreadable characters (Unicode gibberish)

I manually re-downloaded the mod, removed the old one, and installed the downloaded version — now everything works fine. I don't know what the reason was, I opened it in different editors, and it was the same everywhere.
