Do the oil refinery, hub, and foundry transports connect seamlessly? It seems copper has 2 inputs on the hub, but only one output in the foundry
Hello, thanks for sharing this amazing looking blueprint, unfortunatly i have an issue with this bp : no assembly machine has a set recipe, so I don't really know which recipe to place on which assembly machine. can you please help ? thanks a lot.
This doesn't work for the basic maintenance building which requires electronics and mechanical parts. Only the mechanical parts is going into the building. Seems there is many issues with this blueprint based on other comments and what I observed.
I want to like this, I really love the compactness and used it for few hundred years... but it does not scale at critical parts after a point. For example consumer electronics is capped at 30/60, which is only circa 6k population. Half of the research laboratories are useless (infra supports only 2 at current assembly level) until Assembly V. It can eat more than two times the copper United foundry can produce.
Good Afternoon. I may be being stupid but I'm having a couple of issues getting this built!!! Large Storage upgrade doesn't seem to work for me, it says there is storage in the way. The only way i can do it is to delete the existing storage containers, and then apply the upgrade blueprint. Next is the Stage 3 household goods section. When i line up the upgrade and apply it, it deletes the left most vertical conveyer (in the default orientation). I haven't managed to get further yet as these two fails are stopping me!! :( Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?? Thank you
Calen this is a fantastic blueprint, new to the game, so it really helped me with some building techniques. Thank you. One thing I am missing. As you look at the BP, with the labs in the background, the mechanical parts line on the left is not attached to iron, it is attached to steel. Am I missing something? I have been adding a trunk line over to that area.
I've been using your blueprint for about 500 years, thanks, works fine although I am getting serious Mechanical Parts shortages in the late game, the capacity should be at least doubled. Right now I need to have them all boosted and will probably need to add more outside the footprint.
Also, I struggled with steel shortages and brought an iron line with balancers to Mechanical Parts to keep me going less efficiently from my iron surplus until I got steel back online.
Another thing, the exhaust scrubbers always use the most polluting recipe, even though it is prioritized second, because it only requires 240 exhaust, and the less polluting one is 480 exhaust, so the former gets triggered first. EDIT: Commenting for your foundry, my mistake sorry
Just played through the blueprint with U3
(1) biggest design flaw that needs fixing badly : you put the maintenance before the main storage. Instead, there should be a middle section with ramps so trucks can drive through, and on one side of that section, put the storage, and the other side, the maintenance. That way the maintenance gets fed by belts coming from the storage, and alerts should be on those storages. Had multiple death spirals hit with the dreaded 'not enough maintenance' error and no other warning.
(2) the belt design could be done to scale to level V assemblers, it would take some serious belt spaghetti but it may be possible on t2 belts.
(3) solar production is missing and I think is important to add
(4) a spaceport would go well as an extension module or upgrade if you can fit it into the blueprint.
The hub recycling does not handle Aluminum scrap, so as soon as you start to produce consumer electronics, it will jam. EDIT: I just realized I was commenting about the Foundry blueprint, sorry
Just two bits of feedback after using it for my playthrough
- too few maintenance 3 - Running it all on T5 assemblers, nevermind the TF, it's the maintenance on the datacenters and reactors that's gonna hurt. Even with research for maintenance, focus bonus and 8% from statues I will hit the limit of 4M3 buildings in about 2 reactors
- not even fully build up it will start chewing through glass when running all 4 labs. Full production takes around twice as much the foundry is capable producing.
your hub is verry cool, neatly done with the different tiers. but could u add smaller beginner tier starting at research tier 1 instead of tier 2? because now when i start a new map for instance i have to build my own hub to create the materials needed and got all the research done to get that stuff
i made a lower tier myself with the nessecery alterations that still fits in later tiers
When placing the blueprints trying to line them up with all the pipe and belt connections that create random icons on the screen and with the inability to zoom in. It does make it hard to get right.
You need a key on all your blueprints. In the a corner just off the side put down something. Something that is 1 of the 1st few items unlocked. I would think like a belt or pipe going in a circle, a container, or barriers in a square. Something like that but at a point that has an item unlocked just before the the blueprint your setting down. You can use a new item as you unlock upgrades. For instance you change from a tier 1 belt to a tier 2 belt, or pipe.
You could even use the barriers and draw a number with it.For some builds that expand and have empty space like this 1. You could place 2 KEYs within the build so people can zoom in a little and center around it. The 1st key would overlap with the previous upgrade and needs to be removed before placing the next blueprint. The 2nd key will line up with the next blueprint in the line.
A couple of blueprints are out of order with the new tech tree. It requires a 2nd recipe to be unlocked before placing the items. Medical parts in the food hub for 1.
Lastly. There's no way to recycle items. On the construction parts I placed 2 boxes just on the outside of the tier 3 storage with a belt looping and settings so that 1 of them won't receive if more than 25% and the other won't output if less than 75% to allow putting parts back in and taking out.
I tried to figure out the construction parts, electrical parts, and electronics 2
@Andargor - UF fixed with Aluminum & Titanium update. @Vilda - Yeah, Maintenance is rough. If I increase maintenance buildings, that will even further exacerbate the resources needed from the Unified Foundry. But hey, maybe that's just what needs to happen and everyone needs two UFs. Ugh. For now, what I use are statues (like you said), and the 30% maintenance reducer edict. @Rotthier - I have an Early Hub blueprint, https://hub.coigame.com/Blueprint/Detail/637, though it doesn't merge into the full Manufacturing Hub. @Retvet - Thanks for your ideas.
An Arrow Key would really help. That way you always now which way to rotate. It goes up from resource input. Storage inputs https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539632339 They don't line up Left over from the farm https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539633073 There's a lot of sugar, some corn and wheat, no way to get rid of canola. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539635266 Here's how I dealt with vehicle parts but could use a way to refill the storage without flipping the belt when I'm not build and back around to supply the vehicle bay. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539656581 This is the construction parts https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539658853 1 or 2 tiles over to allow a belt to go back and forth through the system to allow recycling of parts. Same for other items. I don't know how to find my direct profile link but here's my discord Q7VyPUpEzM I'm not good at making my build compact and good ratios but I am good at fine tuning and finding ways to improve them.
Maybe you can work something with this https://hub.coigame.com/Blueprint/Detail/1048
A top down and side view. It even recycles lower tier parts back into the system to make higher tier if you have a surge of any higher tier builds. You can still disable some of the lower tier manufacturing bldgs to save people or if a shortage of previous tier parts. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539795244 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3539796498
