As far as I'm concerned, if you don't want to "ruin" the gameplay, then don't use blueprints. For those that have different motives in mind, or just don't care, having blueprints removes a lot of the tediousness if you're using your own *or* someone else's blueprints. There's nothing stopping a player from posting how to create a particular setup like JD does with his recipes.
There are advantages to being able to build a blueprint of an iron "factory" that prepares for attaching a concrete plant to it even before you have tech to build concrete making it easier to build construction parts.
Please don't penalize me for wanting to reuse my own designs across a map or from map to map via BPs. Please don't penalize my desire to share my own designs with others if for no other reason than to get critiques about my design's efficiency via BPs. How does one know if he/she is a captain of industry if others don't have an opportunity to critically review what that individual has created?
Blueprints
Imo blueprints don't break the game. As to compare whit Factorio, are you obliged to use blueprints no? You can do so on your own accord.
I very much would like them.
You might as well just have the devs put all the parts together for us instead of adding blueprints or add a workshop tool that people can subscribe to if you want to show off your designs. That's why I think random maps and resources would be much better to add first, no way to get all your BP's to easily fit on random maps.
One of the arguments I have frequent seen against blueprints is taking the design work away from players. Personally I don't mind either way, in factorio I only use my own designs and that is a choice I make. This was for eg the sticking point with blueprints in satisfactory, and then they eventually added them, but in such a crippled way as to nearly make them useless.
If this is a sticking issue for the devs, then perhaps a mechanism to save blueprints that are bound to a steam ID in some way so only that player can use them. If/when multiplayer get added, then that should be sharable with players in the same steam group+game.
I personally have 2 use cases for blueprints:
1. To save me having ghosts littered all over every flat area on an island :)
2. So I can easily transfer designs from one island to another. Some designs took a lot of time and even reproducing myself is hard or excessively fiddly and error prone (ending up with pipe the wrong way or whatever).
Please let there be a form of fishing since it is an Island, All Island basic job is fishing. That will be an awesome type of food at the beginning to advance. Thank you for your consideration.
