I would love to see this expanded into a complete internal maritime logistics system.
The new amphibious excavators could be used to dig and maintain navigable canals, giving them an important role beyond simply reshaping coastlines. Different vessels could require different minimum water depths, so players would need to properly plan and dredge their waterways.
