After increasing the throughput of the conveyor belt, the number of item sprites on the belt will increase dramatically. Will this affect game performance

Hello just a suggestion, would it be possible to have a config file to adjust different multiplier for each transport type, ie say I want the pipe to have x3 multiplier but none for flat and u shape conveyor, would that be possible ?

So what will happen if it is added to an existing save....will it break the save or the save wont load at all?
