Hello,

In the majority of my factory designs as I progress, I can't help but find I keep having a disproportioned amount of iron sheets, and i usually burn through my iron ore supply long before I am able to start steel production, which by then I tend to exhaust my iron ore supply.

The shredder as we know has a means to shred various items into a loose storable form. I want to be able to shred iron sheets into iron scrap so that i can make molten iron to be used in my steel making processes. This should also be able to work to allow us to directly make other forms of scrap metals by reinserting the materials into the shredder as opposed to using the recycling method to be able to yield scrap. If anything we should lose nothing with a full conversion method. I am honestly annoyed this doesn't exist in the game already, but I putting the idea here, because I think it could be an extremely doable recipe group that could be highly useful for most playthroughs.

That sounds like a great idea tho balance has to be added to that then. I have added this idea to my list and most likely i will look in to it and start working on it next week or week after that. i am a bit short on time this week and next week. (Moving to new apartment next week).

Iron Sheets > Iron Scrap
Raw Copper Sheets > to copper scrap (I mean you still have to do the cleaning either way)
Glass > Glass Shards
Gold > Gold Scrap
Aluminium > aluminium scraps
Titanium (To be fair, reality is you need a vacuum chamber laser cutter shredder to turn titanium into scrap, sheesh that stuff is tough.)
Beyond that, I think this helps, Obviously I steel doesn't have a scrap type, (odd i know, but tis what it tis i suppose)
