Trains pathing to "unknown"

I found another pathing bug. This train decided to attempt to path to a station that is not on the schedule, gave a warning saying it was unreachable...
I think this one should be fixed in experimental.
I just got it on 71c again but I have issues with my wifi so couldn’t send a save
But I’m not on 71d
It's a false notification I think. The issue was actually that arrival conditions weren't met yet at the target station.
Not quite sure how that presented as "cannot find path" but as soon as I loaded it in experimental it worked
Well, it is now 🙂
I replaced a track with a level crossing and some trains had the unknown error, fixed by sending to depot. It's almost like the train doesn't realize the crossing has been built.
never mind it didnt fix itself it is still an issue
Ok found the problem. Why can't trains say no path instead of unknown? It doesn't tell me where it's trying to go.
Because the train won't know that either, until it finds a path to a station.
This isn't easily solvable, because each train line order
can have multiple destination stations defined for the train to choose from,
which don't even have to have the same name.
I mean it could list all choosable station names in there,
but that's potentially a lot of text to display in a tiny GUI element.
It should say "no path" in the status, but I agree, the destination is confusing
Rather than unknown it should be showing where it failed to navigate to
Hard in practise for the reasons @eryk500 [discord] pointed out. It can be trying to find a path to many stations.
