Truckers “consume” too much ethanol and drive zig-zag!

Rumor has it our trucks are guzzling ethanol - boy, are they tipsy! 🍻 They're swerving all over the road like drunk drivers - but oddly enough, only in one direction. Somehow, after finishing their job, they sober up immediately and drive straight back home.

Let’s figure out what's causing this directional drunkenness and sober these truckers up!

Probably want to add the save so that the devs can look at it in situ.

Are those rock trucks, by chance driving to dump? I think that "drunkness" is from the AI, having to repath as the trucks ahead of it, fills tiles.

it has to do with trucks trying to stay close to the straight line between start and destination

probably

Yes, they are definitely driving to a dumping site.

So the main "issue" is that only so many trucks can reserve a dumping tile, at the same time. Hence the AI is "drunk", when constantly repathing.

i didnt think they repath when that happens

Its where I remember seeing it the most. Because its a changing desination, as the job que updates with each truck that finishes its dumping.

They are also “drunk” when I manually command them to move downward, but not upward.

And it has nothing to do with what they are carrying - even empty trucks exhibit this one-directional “drunkenness”.

Might be, but think its easier to spot around dumping areas.

Downwards along the same track route? Or in a different place?

I'm seeing the same thing myself now, except it's trucks trying to get gas.

And some other jobs too.
